Entertainer David Cassidy, center, star of the theatrical show, "EFX," celebrates with fellow cast members during the show's 1000th performance, Tuesday night, July 22, 1997, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In just over two years, "EFX" with its cast of 70 has amazed more than a million showgoers with a blend of music, theatre, dance, acrobatics and the eye-popping special effects that gave the show its name. Cassidy joined the show in 1996 when the original star, Michael Crawford, left the show.
